Pot-au-feu~ Radish and Beef~



As I found out that one big radish was still left in the fridge, I made "pot-atu feu".
Use 3 ingredients only- Chunks of beef, thick sliced radish and Seaweed.
At first, boil radish until soften with the water after washing rices and drain off the water.
This process is needed to get rid of the bitterness of radish.
Then, simmer beef and seaweed with Sake and water until the beef soften. After that, add sliced radish and simmer around 1 hour. Add some salt if you need.
Serve with mustard and soy sauce.
We consumed with one whole radish at one time!
I like this, the most simple, easy and healthy recipe. Referred to Yoko Arimoto cook book. She is genius indeed.


Tonight, I would like to give my son a certification that he is able to use a spoon and folk properly now.
Of course, he still uses his hands when he is eating, however, tonight, he was spontaneously trying to use the cutlery and well done! Congratulations Taro!!
