Beef & Potatoes

Beef & Potatos- This is the one of the most famous and basic Japanese food called "Ofukuro no Aji( taste like what my mother used to make).

Add one crushed garlic and lots of konnyaku noodle is my style.

Beef & Potatoes recipe

Ingredients
2 table spoons sesame oil (white colour oil)
300g thinly sliced beef
2 onions cut into wedges
1 large organic carrot( no need to peel) cut into chunks
4 potatoes ( around 500g) peeled and ut into bite-siezd chunks
4 tablespoons Japanese Sake
4 tablespoons Mirin
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons beet sugar
1 clove crushed garlic

Method
1 Heat the oil in a pot like a "le cruiset"
2 Saute the beef until the slices are brown
3 Add onion, carrot and potatoes and stir until vegetables coated the oil
4 Add Japanese Sake, Mirin and 300ml water( until soaked the surface )
5 Put the lid on with middle heat until boil
6 Add crushed garlic and konnyaku noodle
7 Add 3 tablespoons soy sauce
8Simmer and skim away any froth that rises to the surface
9 Simmer over a low heat around 30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through.
10 If needed, add 1 tablespoon soy sauce and adjust the taste to your favour
