Squid Shaped Pasta

The shape looks like squid and the sauce was squid ink. This is for squid lovers.

Squid and Octpus paste on the slice of bread.

Learnt it from Kotokoto Pasta. My teacher is always teaching something new and I am able to learn fresh and new skill.
Surprisingly, Taro ate this black colour sauce pasta! Plus he was willing to eat the squid! they are not too solid any more for him.

Debuted on Chocolate chip cookies

At last, he met the beautiful but addictive sweets~chocolate!!

My niece baked chocolate chips cookies for Taro. I tried to let him avoid eating chocolate, but the time has come. He's already 2 year and 4 month old, it is also good opportunity to explore the new taste. If only I try to control the quantity he eats, that will be OK. Plus this is not whole chocolate, just some chocolate in cookies. Never mind ;-)
Thanks, my niece!! It was absolutely perfect taste.

Fresh Lettuce Anniversary

マーボー春雨(Mabo Harusame)~bean-starch vermicelli~
Put them on the fresh lettuce and bite.

Naga-imo rice(soy sauce and butter taste)

Tonight, I would like to announce that Taro had fresh lettuce spontaneously!!!!!
I had never tried to feed it to him before since he has only 4 back teeth and I though it was difficult to chew, but when I eat it with Harusame, he started to eat it as I did and said to me, " I like it! What's this?"
I replied "It's Lettuce. Do you like it?" and then, he said "Yeah, Taro-kun likes it!"
Amazing. He was able to eat fresh lettuce.
Thus, I would like to call tonight "fresh lettuce anniversary."

French Toast with Persimmon

Since there were lots of fully ripened persimmons, I put them on the french toast as a sauce.
Very sweet!!!
Incidentally I made french toast last January. Compare to the previous one, this might be more healthy?! :P

お雑煮~Ozouni~(my nephew's style)

A Happy New Year!!

In Japan, we usually have "Ozouni" on Jan 1. Ozouni has various style in each area in Japan.
In Kanto area, we usually have the sticky rice with Bonito, seaweed and chicken broth. This year, my nephew Ren made it for us due to his homework! Yes, to make Ozouni and write a recipe was one of his homework for winter vacation at his school. Interesting :O

It was tough for him to chew sticky rice. But he loves the soup.
